About the Role 

To provide a Organised Immigration Crime DomesticTaskforce  (OICDT) footprint into the Joint Fusion Cell (JFC) to promote working with wider Policing and to support with the dissemination of intelligence in and out of the JFC.

The Joint Fusion Cell ingests data and intelligence from multiple sources, fusing to identify new opportunities for targeting, and mitigating the risk of intelligence failure across agencies.  JFC works with data and intelligence from open source to top secret, providing access to a greater breadth of information across our partner agencies and beyond.  Identifying new opportunities through data exploitation, and triaging intelligence leads, the JFC undertakes research and initial development compiling products to place across the SOC system for further development and disruption.  It will suit those with an inquisitive nature, used to handling data and exploring intelligence further through all means and good interpersonal skills.  Work turns over quickly so is fast paced, varied and enjoyable.

Essential Criteria

Applicants must be able to demonstrate:

  • An understanding of national Organised Immigration Crime(OIC) issues
  • Experience of appropriate and secure handling and dissemination of sensitive and non-sensitive material in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
  • Experience of working within an intelligence/analysis unit, comfortable operating with numerous information sources in varying formats, analysing large volumes of both data and intelligence in order to draw out key findings and make recommendations
  • Good understanding and application of information management and relevant legislation (e.g. MOPI, Data Protection, CPIA, IPA)
  • An understanding of the OIC strategic intelligence requirement
  • Experience of utilising Intelligence to problem solve
  • Conduct systematic research and interrogation of open and closed sources to assist the decision making of law enforcement agencies.
  • High standards of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
  • Proven demand management, planning and organising skills.
