Modern slavery awareness resources for schools
As part of a public health approach to tackling modern slavery in the community and targeted preventative work, this modern slavery awareness raising package has been designed for delivering into secondary schools.
The free, downloadable resource, aimed at young people aged 13-17 years, includes PowerPoint slides, facilitator notes, handouts for breakout sessions and leaflets, and was piloted with secondary school aged pupils.
It introduces the main concepts of modern slavery, including but not limited to county lines exploitation, and promotes discussion through various breakout exercises and multi-media. There is a focus on how this relates to young people’s everyday lives, how they can protect themselves and seek support.
We would appreciate any feedback on the resource via this forms link
