Care sector
In partnership with the Clewer Initiative, OICDT has designed and produced a resource to support those working in the care sector to identify and report signs of exploitation. Primarily aimed at raising awareness for people commissioning care, owning and running residential care properties or working in the care sector, the resource was produced following a pilot to care workers and management staff in domiciliary and residential care homes.
Resource structure
The resource is split into two parts – a general overview of what modern slavery is and the different types of exploitation that can exist, and a focus on specific scenarios within the care sector that workers could observe or experience. Included is a slide pack, flyers and further resources document with facilitator notes to enable delivery as a train the trainer session.
