About the Role
The Organised Immigration Crime Taskforce (OICDT) is a national policing programme that coheres law enforcement agencies across the UK to tackle Organised Immigration Crime (OIC). Working collaboratively with police forces, Home Office, NCA and other key stakeholders the programme strengthens the response in tackling criminal networks who exploit the vulnerable, profit from organised crime and undermine UK border security.
This role provides an OICDT presence within Causeway Multi Agency Hub, strengthening collaboration with law enforcement partners and supporting the effective sharing of intelligence specifically in relation to abuse of the Common Travel Area (CTA) within an OIC context.
- Act as a single point of contact
Ensure OICDT priorities are represented, opportunities are identified, and engagement between the OICDT and Causeway capabilities is consistent and effective.
- Coordinate prioritisation of high-harm nominals
Establish and oversee a process to identify and prioritise OIC subjects abusing the CTA, ensuring alignment with Causeway capabilities.
- Strengthen collaboration with key stakeholders
Work with key stakeholders and wider law enforcement to strengthen processes and analytical assessment of OIC offenders at a tactical level.
- Exploit causeway intelligence to support OIC disruption (Lockstream)
Encourage the assessment and development of intelligence held by Causeway to improve understanding of CTA abuse and support fast time disruption opportunities particularly in relation to Lockstream intensifications.
- Identify and develop opportunities to enhance the policing response to OIC
Use the embed position to test, evaluate and refine how collaboratively law enforcement can disrupt CTA OIC abuse, capturing learning and informing future operating models.
Essential Criteria
Applicants must be able to demonstrate:
- An understanding of Organised Immigration Crime and the associated national intelligence requirements
- Experience of handling and dissemination of sensitive and non-sensitive material securely, in line with relevant legislation, policies and procedures
- Proven experience of working within an intelligence environment
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing demands and prioritise effectively
- Experience of working within a multi-agency setting with the ability to build relationships, influence and negotiate with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
Formal Qualifications Required: PIP 2
Desirable Qualifications: PIP 2 Accredited & IPP Intelligence Manager
